Motor gets overheated

So when you smell such type of burning smell, then you should immediately switch off the AC and lubricate the motor’s bearings.

Bad Capacitor

The motor helps the fan to blow and it helps it to function. Now this motor needs a capacitor to function in a well-defined manner. Now when this capacitor breaks down or it go out of order, then the motor can overheat and can produce a burning smell. So to avoid such situation, the best way is to turn the system OFF.
